Job Summary: Zel Technologies has a requirement to provide a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Physical Security Specialist to conduct complex strategic planning and assessments, intelligence integration, information operations, planning, security management, policy analysis, and exercise planning needed to effectively plan and conduct the SOCPAC mission.

Essential Job Functions:
Support the SOCPAC Special Security Officer (SSO) in SCI physical security support needed to develop, implement, and assist in managing SOCPACs overall SCI phsyical security program. Specifically:

  • Conduct SCI pre-screening interviews on personnel requiring access to SCI to include reviewing, evaluating, and security determinations involving minor derogatory information that may be disclosed during the interview. The security determinations shall be made IAW protocol and shall not include a value judgement of contractor personnel
  • Develop and implement a process to formalize the SCI nomination process and staff the nomination request for approval/disapproval
  • Develop, conduct, and document SCI indoctrination briefings and debriefings
  • Maintain personnel security recors, run reports/analyze results in Joint Persnnel Adjudication System (JPAS)/Joint Clearance and Access Verification System (JCAVS)
  • Process incoming/out-going SCI visit request certifications JPAS/JCAVS, the Defense Special SEcurity Communications Systems (DSSCS), or via other approved methods
  • Issue, manage, and controlling access badges
  • Assist in the management of personnel security incidents with the DoD Consolidated Adjudication Facility (CAF) to include Statement of Reason (SOR) issued by the DoD CAF utilizing the DoD Gatekeeper/Case Adjudication Tracking Systems (CATS) portals to communicate with the appropriate DoD CAF sections
  • Maintain applicable security directives, regulations, and manuals necessary to executre a SCI personnel security duties
  • Maintain eletronic personnel security files and records
  • Develop and implement a formal process to receive, process, and file the reporting of foreign travel and foreign contacts from Command personnel
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for SSO approval as the relate to the Command's SCI persnnel security program
  • Under the Command's industrial security program, review issued DD Forms 2254 to ensure contractors supporting the command are authorized access to SCI
  • Develop, conduct, document, and manage a personnel security continuing SCI Security Education and Training Awareness (SETA) program to ensure cleared personnel are frequently reminded of their security reporting requirements
  • Interact and effectively communication with personnel at every level of leadership
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required

Education:

  • Bachelor's (BS/BA) degree in any field

Special Requirements:

  • Current DoD Top Secret clearance and elible for SCI access
