Job Summary / Responsibilities:
Provides scientific, engineering, and technical assistance (SETA) to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), for Science and Technology (ST), Office for Advanced Technologies Intelligence (ATI). Provides onsite support at Cape Canaveral AFS, Florida. Serves as an Operations and Administrative Officer providing support across a range of functions to include: data entry, reporting, scheduling, prioritization and planning decisions on behalf of senior management personnel. Provides tracking of program activities and status reporting to synchronize and enhance missions. Plan and implement internal business processes to ensure the successful completion of operational tasking. Participate in government led project forums where all support staff can provide ideas and concepts that are directed towards solving technical challenge/hurdles of ongoing projects. Technical expertise is not required, but member must be able to develop innovative and creative solutions for real world problems based on employees experience and knowledge. Provide as needed support to ongoing lab based projects based on informal education, knowledge, skills and talents. This does not require formal technical education but may utilize self-taught skill of the employee to help fill necessary project shortfalls for brief periods of time.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Tracks and provide status reports of routine and ad hoc tasking have to include but not limited to official taskings from higher headquarters, RFls from other organizations and white paper evaluations.
  • Prepares and edits specialized reporting.
  • Supports scheduling, agenda and action item capture for numerous monthly site visits.
  • Coordinates and consolidates accomplishments and ensure ATI activities are recorded in weekly activity and other ad hoc reports to DIA/ST headquarters.
  • Plans and implements internal business processes to ensure successful completion of operational takings from higher authority and successful accomplishment of ATI management tasks.
  • Coordinates technical interchanges supporting technology development requirements.
  • Plans and manages logistical aspects of running conferences to include proper handling and mailing of classified material, passing security clearances, coordinating VIP itineraries.
  • Performs logistics support activities to include purchasing supplies and services such as minor equipment and consumables for the conduct of tests and evaluations, exercises and operations.
  • Performs technical editing of Branch documents using sound grammar and writing skills to draft, format and edit official correspondence, reports memorandums, briefings, presentations and other documents.
  • Establishes and maintains files of official Government documentation in both paper and electronic form to be readily accessible and searchable as required by DIA policy/regulation.
  • Performs file transfers amongst systems and classifications per policy and security
  • Performs CPSO duties for facilities at the Cape. Complies with CCAFS industrial hygiene requirements.

           Performs other duties as assigned to accomplish the ATl5 mission.  

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:


  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Ability to research technical issues & prepare reports to management

  • Effective communicator (verbal and written)
  • Respond to inquiries from customers, management, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Education Requirements:
BA/BS plus - 4 to 8 years related experience is required OR in lieu of degree 9-12 years experience

Desired: BA/BS plus - 8 to 10 years related experience is desired
