Job Summary / Responsibilities:

Provide scientific, engineering, and technical assistance (SETA) to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Office for Science and Technology (ST). SETA will provided on-site support at Patrick AFB Florida. The Cyber Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for managing the research, development, and integration of data center activities to meet emerging requirements.

Essential Job Functions: 


  • Develop solutions to emerging client requests in a high profile and fast paced environment
  • Identify capability gaps, develop functional and performance requirements, oversee developmental/operational  test and evaluations for IT systems
  • Understand and interpret applicable policy documents
  • Develop strategies, operational assessments, and transition plans for new capabilities
  • Maintain and report on Information Technology project status, risks, opportunities, issues, recommendations, and contract deliverables (e.g. formal briefings or reports, one on one discussions, etc.)
  • Integrate processes and procedures to address, evolving customer requirements and changes in technology
  • Provide tracking and verification of requirements for emerging internal and external IT projects and deployments
  • Resolve conflicts with internal and/or external customers
  • Implement and maintain a continuous improvement process based on client feedback
  • Maintain and advise of project schedule changes
  • Develop and collect performance statistics to track the success of waterfall or agile efforts.
  • Support the program office and technical leads in developing and preparing documentation and briefings
  • Develop and standardize toolsets for reporting project activities including acquisition program activities, acquisition milestones, and other tools to track and forecast data, identify acquisition gaps and contract ends dates.
  • Some offsite travel required to perform site surveys for mission expansion, meet with customers, act as a liaison for organizational interests, provide guidance and expertise to installation teams on new requirements, and perform technical engineering analysis


Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: 



  • Current DOD 8570.1 Level II IAM baseline certification, or will achieve within 6 months of hire
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or related experience
  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Science or Engineering
  • Expertise with MS Project or similar scheduling tools
  • Experience in developing & documenting requirements and work tasks
  • Experience with DoD or IC IT program management policies and practices
  • Experience leading teams in the completion of IT projects and/or task management



  • Experience leading small and large group discussions to communicate agile acquisition concepts
  • Experience developing, implementing,  and tracking performance  metrics
  • Experience in identifying and implementing AGILE project management strategies
  • Experience in developing Rough .Order of Magnitude (ROMs) and Spend Plans
  • Experience in Risk Management processes
  • Experience assisting program offices to track IT project requirements and achieve milestones
  • Experience in IT program management problem identification and resolution
  • Experience implementing continuous process improvement initiatives

Education Requirements: 


  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Science or Engineering PLUS 10 years directly related experience OR 14+ years experienc ein lieu of degree
  • Masters Degree desired

Special Requirements: 

  • TOP SECRET/ SCI is required
  • Must successfully complete a government-provided polygraph within 5-days of employment.
  • Standard office work environment.
  • Some travel required.
