Job Summary:

Providing Systems Engineering support with experience in electrical and test engineering. Serving in the capacity of ADSR program engineer to assist the government engineers, Integrated Support Contract engineers and the ADSR program manager in writing and reviewing technical acquisition documents and contractor deliverables. Supporting joint DoD-DOE nuclear weapon life-cycle activities in accordance with DoDI 5030.55 and DoD Directive 3150.1 as well as any other relevant U.S. law, DoD, CJCS, USAF, or other Service Component, directive, policy, instruction, or guide

Essential Job Functions:

  • Designing test plans, identifying test facility requirements, scheduling and executing tests
  • Assisting the program manager with the acquisition program planning and execution activities
  • Preparing acquisition documentation for associated inch stones and milestones and working all associated actions
  • Preparing and participating in all associated technical reviews, program management reviews, meetings, working group, and work all associated actions
  • Supporting the following activities to include, but are not limited to: Support in development, integration, refinement and review of Acquisition/Technology Development Strategy, Systems Engineering Plan (SEP), Systems Requirements Document (SRD), Test Evaluation Strategy/Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Program Protection Plan (PPP), Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP), Acquisition Plan (AP), Security Classification Guide (SCG)
  • Conducting trade studies, prepare program documents, and perform assessments as required
  • Contributing to Technical Reviews; Deficiency Reviews; and Configuration Control Boards, Technical Interchange Meetings; Program Management Reviews; System Requirements Review (SRR); System Functional Review (SFR); Preliminary Design Review (PDR); Critical Design Review (CDR), Test Readiness Review (TRR); Functional Configuration Audit (FCA); System Verification Review (SVR); Production Readiness Review (PRR); Operational Test Readiness Review (OTRR); and Physical Configuration Audit (PCA)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Knowledge of the acquisition process IAW DoD 5000.2, to include but not limited to, program schedules and phases, entrance/exit criteria, acquisition documentation, program requirements, technical development strategy, and acquisition strategy
  • Professional engineering knowledge and the capability to clearly articulate the technical requirements of the ADSR program and provide technical advisement to the program manager in the review of contractor deliverables
  • Previous experience directly managing contracted workload with an emphasis on requirements, design, production, and sustainment of electromechanical and electrical devices
  • Previous experience directly managing developmental test, operational test, and test facilities    
  • Desired:
  • 6-10 years of experience with electrical or electromechanical ordnance devices

Education:

  • Required: BS in Engineering discipline
  • Desired: MS in Engineering discipline

Special Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance
