Job Summary:

Provide scientific, engineering, and technical assistance (SETA) to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Office for Science and Technology (ST), Space Counter Space Division (SCS). SETA will provide on-site support at Patrick AFB Florida. Provide Data Center and Cyber Ops support as well as IT systems analysis and network administration support for operation and maintenance of OL-TC classified and unclassified information systems. Thorough understanding of information technology (IT) systems, analysis, and windows network server administration; to Include PC support, and network maintenance. Thorough understanding of Windows Server 2003/2008 operating systems and virtualization using VMware Vsphere and Hyper-V.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Possess training and experience in Data Center operations, network server management, router, switch, and crypto systems administration
  • Able to install, configure, maintain, monitor, analyze, test, troubleshoot and evaluate network architectures and cyber systems to ensure availability to users
  • Possesses education, training and experience to ensure appropriate security controls are in place and to respond to security breaches and viruses.
  • Have thorough understanding of physical/virtual Sever environments, and common thin/thick client desktop operating systems.
  • Networking
  • Understands the issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including CISCO network interconnectivity, routing protocols, switch configuration and maintenance, WAN configurations, Internet access, VOIP, VLANs, etc.. Highly Proficient working in a Windows Server Environment, workstations and troubleshooting
  • System Center Configuration Manager for OS deployment, software distribution, and patch management
  • Video Teleconferencing using Tandberg/Cisco based codecs
  • Network Monitoring methodologies using CISCO prime, What's Up Gold, etc.
  • Voice Over IP handset configuration using Cisco phones
  • Virtual Systems using VMWARE and Vsphere
  • Understands the issues involved in administering and maintaining corporate WAN using TCPIP protocols. Be able to analyze and prioritize technical issues
  • Internal Systems
  • Assists in supporting corporate applications; internal user desktops, etc. Assists with basic and complex troubleshooting methodologies, backup systems, and archiving
  • Assists in administering and maintaining local and web-based versions of our management software. Assists in the administration and maintenance of Internal Systems programs such as MS project, and Office; Windows XP, and Windows7
  • Working knowledge of cryptographic hardware used for circuit management
  • Basic understanding of PKI certificate technologies
  • Conduct market research on technology solution alternatives, and/or represent the customer as required.
  • Work both in a team and on their own with little to no supervision
  • Accurately document technical procedures and follow them
  • Manage multiple priorities under time constraints

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Current A+ and Security + certifications are required IAW DOD 8570 requirements. (Or will be completed within 90 days of hire).
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)     
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Work in a fast changing environment with good organizational skills
  • CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Professional); MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer), and mastery of DOD8570.01-M certification desired        

Education: 

  • BA/BS in a computer related field + up to 6 years experience OR 8+ years of experience in lieu of degree

Special Requirements:

  • Contractor personnel supporting IT systems shall be designated as "mission essential" may be required to work non-routine hours for hurricane or other emergencies to safeguard or restore mission essential systems
  • Travel approximately 10 - 15%
  • Lifting computer equipment on regular basis
  • Must pass a Polygraph within 7-days of employment.
