Job Summary: Provide platform and C2 process instruction, and hands-on demonstration on functional C2 systems. Supports the development of syllabi, courseware, and support material.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct various forms of analyses such as occupational, job, mission, task, learning resource, and target analyses in accordance with (IAW) Air Force Manual (AFM) 36-2234, Instructional System Development for government approval prior to course development
  • Develop, update and maintain a government approved Master Training Task List IAW AFM 36-2236, Guidebook for Air Force Instructors
  • Develop and deliver new or revised training task analysis IAW USAF EC formats. Content will include lecture-discussion, hands-on demonstration, and practical exercises, as the syllabus dictates
  • Trained and certified in accordance with USAF EOS faculty, staff development and evaluation guidance. Develop/maintain appropriate documentation and courseware material IAW Department of Defense (DoD), United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), AF, AFSOC, and USAF EC publications and guidance. All courseware shall be developed using Air Force Handbook (AFH) 36-2235, Information for Designers of Instructional Systems, AFM 36-2234, Instructional System Development, AFM 36-2236, Guidebook for Air Force Instructors and USAF EC guidance.
  • Provide controlled access and security for all paper or electronic based tests and examinations.
  • Provide C2 systems instruction teaching students to operation C2 applications IAW the course syllabus.
  • Act as role players if needed, develop and update device scenarios, author and execute training event scripts to meet course desired learning objectives
  • Recommend upgrades and modifications to the courseware or the introduction of alternative training methods to improve the desired learning objectives and optimize training resource utilization
  • Make recommendations to the OC through the designated government channels
  • Develop, update, maintain, coordinate approvals and implement the syllabus and course chart for the course IAW established USAF EC requirements
  • Develop, update and maintain Instructor Guides (IG) and Student Guides (SG)
  • Provide traceability from lesson to syllabus objectives, and develop/update IG/SG utilizing subject matter expert inputs to achieve learning objectives
  • Support existing courseware change process IAW AF and USAF EC ISD publications and guidance
  • Accomplish small group tryouts for all courseware
  • Incorporate evaluation results and feedback into lessons as required
  • Provide COR with course evaluation data as part of submittal for government course acceptance
  • Develop, update, maintain, validate, administer and control courseware tests and examinations to assess student learning to determine specific training or retraining needs IAW USAF EC publications and guidance
  • Provide USAF EC test and examination data as part of the student trend analysis process


  • Able to keep deadlines and manage change to assure personal responsibility for timelines
  • Comfortable interacting with leadership, faculty, technologists and other teams (ISD)
  • Special Operations experience required
  • Basic Knowledge of the following MDSs: AC-130U/W, MC-130H/P, U-28, MC/PC-12; C-145, C-130J, and other non-standard aviation aircraft           


  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Social or Physical Sciences

  • Must possess a Secret security clearance
