Title: Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Must have an active clearance to be considered for this position

Job Summary: The Full-Stack Software Engineer position provides on-site support to the US Government at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS) in Port Canaveral, Florida.  This individual will provide support to the development team in development of innovative software products that leverage the latest web-based cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services. The project entails development of a browser-based application, hosted on AWS, that integrates various kinds of media with advanced algorithms that leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence.  Work will leverage an existing code base with new features and functionality.  Some software architecture work will also be necessary.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create user-friendly web interfaces for content management
  • Integrate data from legacy and modern frameworks into web applications
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to address and mitigate these problems
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs web applications software and systems that are integrated with advanced software algorithms and geographic information systems (GIS) solutions.
  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with other software and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development of software systems.
  • The successful candidate should possess strong problem solving skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • The candidate will regularly interface with technical leads, customers and other stakeholders. The candidate must also be able to rapidly analyze and understand new tools and technologies, and integrate them into existing products and processes.



  • 3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining web sites and web applications
  • Solid understanding of core web technologies and best practices (HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, REST, SOAP).
  • 1+ year of experience with Amazon Web Services including Amazon EC2, Auto Scaling, AWS Lambda, Amazon LightSail, AWS Identity management, Amazon RDS, CloudFront, and ElastiCache services.
  • Experience with Amazon analytic services including Elasticsearch, AWS Machine Learning, and Amazon Rekognition.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
  • Experience with Full software lifecycle development practices and procedures
  • General software programming skills, software design, debugging, documentation, testing, problem solving, and software requirements capture, and analysis experience is required.
  • Able to interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study and at least five years of professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
